So, did I fool anyone with

I've recently discovered how to apply a pattern to my brushes so that when I paint it picks up the pattern. So, something like these
[link][link]Eventually, I stumbled on this tutorial
[link] which uses a texture, in this case a canvas texture. It's funny why it never occurred to me to do that, but anyway, I scanned in a piece of canvas I had and started painting and go Harvest.
Now, I don't try to make this a goal or anything, but it's an interesting way to paint.

Btw could you please direct me to the artist who did the Geisha and the blonde girl you've linked in your journal? They're beautiful. ^^
I was wondering, could you possibly make a tutorial for how to make beautiful artwork like that Geisha lady? I really love that piece of work, my eyes went all watery with emotion when I saw it. I'd love to learn from you.
when i first saw it i thought it was mixed media maybe done in pastel and touched up with photoshop your sharpness gave that away traditional has a "softer" feel to it.
props though it is really well done
